Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Reonlingo account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your account

You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. License to use the app

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Reonlingo app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial language learning. This license terminates automatically if you violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and billing

4.1 The plans we offer

Reonlingo offers auto-renewable subscriptions. Each plan unlocks the same full access to the app; only the billing period differs.

• Reonlingo Monthly — a subscription of one month, renewing every month.
• Reonlingo Yearly — a subscription of twelve months, renewing every year.

The price of each plan is shown in the app, in your own currency for your App Store or Google Play region, before you confirm the purchase. Prices differ between countries and can change; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and where the law requires it we will ask you to accept a new price before it takes effect.

4.2 How renewal works

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.
• You can manage the subscription and turn off auto-renewal yourself, after purchase, in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. We cannot turn it off for you — the store holds the subscription, not us.
• Turning off auto-renewal stops the next charge. It does not end the period you are in: your access continues until that period runs out.
• Where a free trial is offered, the paid subscription begins automatically when the trial ends unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before that. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.

4.3 Sales are final

All subscription purchases are final and non-refundable. Canceling stops future renewals; it does not refund the period already paid for. This is the rule, not a starting position — please choose a plan on the understanding that the payment is not coming back.

We do make room for genuinely exceptional circumstances, which we review one at a time and at our discretion: a duplicate charge, a failure on our side that kept you from what you paid for, or a refund your local law requires. Email [email protected] from the address on your account with the approximate date of the charge and what happened. Asking is not the same as being granted, and we will tell you either way. Because the App Store and Google Play take the payment, they can also refund it under their own conditions, and for most billing problems they are the faster route.

4.4 Immediate access, and what that means in the EU and UK

A subscription gives you the full app the moment it is confirmed. By subscribing you ask us to begin supplying that digital content immediately, and you acknowledge that once we have, you lose the statutory right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply in the European Union and the United Kingdom. We say this plainly because it is the reason sales are final: you have already received what you paid for.

4.5 Rights this section does not take away

Nothing above limits a right your local law does not let you waive. If you live somewhere with mandatory consumer-protection rules — including the EU, the United Kingdom, India, Australia and several US states — those rules apply whatever these Terms say, and where they conflict, they win. The App Store and Google Play also operate their own refund conditions, which are independent of ours and which we cannot override.

4.6 Misuse of billing

Charging back a payment you actually authorised, or repeatedly claiming refunds for access you used, is a breach of these Terms. We may suspend or close an account that does it and decline to sell to it again.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by law.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute course content, audio, or other materials outside the app.
• Use the Services to harass others, upload unlawful content, or interfere with the security or performance of the Services.
• Circumvent usage limits, share a paid account beyond what your plan permits, or misrepresent your identity.

6. User-submitted content

Some features may let you submit audio (for example, pronunciation practice) or written responses. You retain ownership of what you submit, and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it solely to operate and improve the Services, such as generating feedback on your pronunciation. You confirm you have the right to submit that content.

7. Intellectual property

The Reonlingo app, this website, and all course content, audio, illustrations, and software are owned by reonAI LLC or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of that material to you.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or fluency timelines.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, reonAI LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill arising from your use of the Services.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Services, with notice where reasonably practicable.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and the state and federal courts sitting in Illinois have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — except where a mandatory consumer-protection law in your own country gives you the right to bring a claim locally, which this clause does not take away.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we’ll notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
